Sustainability consultant focused on what works
Anke Steinbach founded STEINBACH STRATEGIEN in 2003 and still runs the consultancy today. She advises corporations and large mid-sized companies on sustainability strategy, ESG reporting, and sustainability communication, drawing on experience from more than 500 projects in over 20 industries. As an economist with a McKinsey background, she speaks the language of the executive floor while also rolling up her sleeves in the engine room. She personally supports every project, from the first conversation to implementation.

- Shaping transformation: supporting companies in their social and environmental responsibility while strengthening them economically, because they play a major role in shaping our society
- Making business better: strengthening the core of business, creating value for customers, employees, and society, with practical solutions that work in everyday life
- Working efficiently: using limited resources wisely and achieving as much as possible, in the project as in the company
- Empowering people: so that sustainability managers can fulfill their tasks as well as possible
- Reaching decision-makers: because their decisions have an impact far beyond their own company
Sharing ideas in talks, juries, and podcasts
Making sustainability understandable and encouraging people to take the next step is essential. That is why I give talks, take part in panel discussions and podcasts, and contribute my experience to juries.

- Talks and podcasts: on sustainability, entrepreneurship, and meaningful work, for example in the SAIM podcast on the CSRD (in German)
- Book: “Do you speak sustainability?”, a navigator for executives and sustainability managers
- Teaching: From 2008 to 2017, I taught at Leuphana University Lüneburg, where I had previously completed my MBA. My topics were corporate responsibility, business models, and sustainable entrepreneurship.

What shapes me beyond consulting
For me, sustainability is not an abstract obligation. Travel and faith shape my view of the world and of my work.
Globetrotter
Having grown up in the GDR, traveling was a dream for a long time. My studies and career took me to Latin America, and as a diver I still discover new corners of the world today.

My faith in Jesus Christ is my foundation. I volunteer at my church, ICF Hamburg.
